Data Protection
In handling personal data of assisted at-risk minors, their families and other parties involved all constitutional provisions of Art. 1, para. 1, Art. 2, para. 1 (informational self-determination, Basic Law of the Federal Republic of Germany) are complied with.
The responsible handling of personal data by WIR Kinder- und Jugendhilfe gGmbH, when collaborating with youth welfare offices is based on Sections 61 – 63, Social Code Book VIII, Section 35, Social Code Book I, Sections 67 – 85, Social Code Book X, Section 203 of the German Criminal Code, and the declaration of commitment made by WIR Kinder- und Jugendhilfe gGmbH for the purpose of maintaining data secrecy (Section 35, Federal Data Protection Law).
The legal base guarantees that family information are handled with care and responsibility by all parties.
We strive for transparency (especially towards the assisted persons) to ensure successful participation. Consent to transfer personal data are, therefore, documented in writing.
In order to ensure the lawful handling of all personal data by WIR Kinder- und Jugendhilfe gGmbH we use an external data protection commissioner (data processing, data transfer and data protection).
