Ambulatory assistance provided by WIR Kinder- und Jugendhilfe gGmbH is based on the following guidelines:

Best interests of the child

Mindfulness of a child’s best interests is a top priority for us. The ability of and the growing need for independent and self-responsible acting and special social needs and particularities with age are accounted for.

Children’s rights, participation

Services aim at the realisation of children’s rights. A comprehensive participation of recipients is of great importance to us when defining objectives.

Resource orientation

Individual resources are identified, used and reinforced.

Social orientation

Social environment resources are integrated into assistance and used. Cooperation with regular systems and other actors in social environments. WIR Kinder- und Jugendhilfe gGmbH contributes to the development of social environment resources.

Intercultural competencies

The ethnic, religious and cultural background of migrant families is taken into account and integrated into our work.

Gender mainstreaming

Assistance provided by WIR Kinder- und Jugendhilfe gGmbH takes account of gender-specific situations and is intended to reduce discrimination and to promote equal rights of girls and boys, women and men.

Principle of inclusion

Assistance is provided to children, youths and families threatened or affected by impairment.

Effect orientation of assistance

Assistance is designed in a way to achieve the best possible effects.

Flexible management of social changes

WIR Kinder- und Jugendhilfe gGmbH responds flexibly to changed situations e.g. by providing new concepts and personnel development measures.
